No woman could do anything like this

I have heard about Madame as a singular woman of science. Fortunate enough to be friends with Voltaire, and alive pre-Enlightenment, she thrived in the circles and salons of the day in France. Madame du Chtelet most likely would have been a prodigy if she had been born a man. She had to settle for second best, which for time of world, wasn’t too unfortunate. The idea of ANYONE translating the Principia boggles the mind. To do so while performing her duties as a married woman and mother, could make us turn off our computers, never read another book, and contemplate the facts of her life. Astounding!

Is she serene because she's on Science?

Founding Fathers

The 2016 election would have Adams telling Jefferson ‘I told you so’. Trumps rise, would be according to Adams, exactly why we do not want too much Democracy. Look at who the commoner has placed as nominee, he would say. The people are drunk with democracy. Trump? You’re kidding me! Well, Jefferson would respond, you and the pundits still don’t get it. Trump has spirit! He’s rallying the people for a revolution! It’s exactly the fertilizer this country needs to stay true to our vision. You folks are going to be usurped if you don’t figure this out. And I’m watching John. Don’t give me any of your imperial presidency dung wrapped in those flowery words your so fond of. And, John, as a friend, don’t let all this get your dander up. He’s no more a huckster than any other politician. He just doesn’t shy away  from playing the game so far better than anyone. You guys better figure him out John. You don’t want to get so irritated Dr Rush gets his lancets out and does a bit of bloodletting!

I just finished reading, In A Sunburned Country, by Bill Bryson. I have now read it 4-5 times as well as listening to him read it. It’s on my top 10 list for a fascinating subject as well as his unique view of the world. Look him up!
I was doing some browsing looking at maps, Aboriginal issues, water when I came on this website about Australian Antarctic Research, Antarctic exploration and science being one of my interests.
This site process once again, the wonders, if only minor of the internet. From Utah, SLC, I can watch videos of Australian science! I hope the wonders of the internet never become jaded for me and for those who follow.
Enjoy!
