NASA does ebooks

Naturally this caught my eye. NASA does really cool stuff for us. It’s hard to imagine a private company taking the time to make as much info public as NASA does. The breadth and depth of the info made available is amazing.
Damn those socialists!!!

Expecting Due Diligence

Posting this not specifically as a climate change issue although all of us will benefit of we have a good understanding of climate change, but to point out one of two critical problems with scientists explaining science. The second, and more noticeable I believe, is scientists continuing difficulty in making scientific explanations and knowledge clear and understandable to a population with an average 5th grade reading level. I’m not saying it’s easy or even possible with many scientific explanations, but is a goal to be strived for since we live in a world based on science. A recent very good example is The Gene. Take a gander of there’s time.

I’m not sure there’s anything especially new about this post. It’s just a good article I read while waiting to get tires changed at Big O.

Under Sanders, income and jobs would soar, economist says – Feb. 8, 2016

Too optimistic? Bernie was at one point also. Given much is infrastructure, Roosevelt would be proud. Don’t let the socialist label get you. Much of our country is socialist: roads, welfare, corporate tax breaks, military. We use socialism as a way to justify capitalism even as people vote against there own interests because the powers that be have been so effective at making socialism out to be contrary to our best interests. In actuality, we benefit from both.

This is a bummer! I have always loved the great age of exploration. Shackletons journey is one of the most remarkable ever! Despite all that happenend, not a single person dies! NONE! This amazing even to this day with all the fancy ger we have. And cell phones. Radios. Cameras. They were left in the hashest plae on Earth with no means to communicate to the outside world.

Since the crew was going overland, on the ice, dragging sleds behind them, Hurley was not allowed to take all the pictures, which we on glass plates, therefore heavy and fragile. The process used was the Paget process. He was also the first to take color photos in this setting.
