Sort of reminds me of the starnosed-mole.
However based on how the Trumpster behaves and what we have found out about him ovr the campaign these may be a more apt likeness.
The Flinstones are back! Like so much of the world today, so many want to return to a simpler past.
Garrison Keillor, a singular man of letters we as citizens were blessed to know. In this time of rampant change and lose footing, he was able, using only his voice, to take us back to a time that seems far away and yet resources where it matters, in our hearts and minds. If you ever saw him tell his stories it seemed as though he was transfixed, a conduit of memory and love sorely lacking in our time.
Behind every good man, yes, there is a woman. Or two….
Comedian Lewis Black would say, when hearing of problems such as this, (paraphrase) It seems as though the world has taken a turn. Unfortunately, this is not a turn, just what is another in the ancient and cultural long attack and terrorization of women. To wit: Pakistani woman burnt to death, Brazilian gang rape, and an especially disturbing item, Gangbang T-shirt.
There’s far more to say, but not enough room.

I have heard about Madame as a singular woman of science. Fortunate enough to be friends with Voltaire, and alive pre-Enlightenment, she thrived in the circles and salons of the day in France. Madame du Chtelet most likely would have been a prodigy if she had been born a man. She had to settle for second best, which for time of world, wasn’t too unfortunate. The idea of ANYONE translating the Principia boggles the mind. To do so while performing her duties as a married woman and mother, could make us turn off our computers, never read another book, and contemplate the facts of her life. Astounding!
The bold, brilliant woman who championed Newton’s physics
The 2016 election would have Adams telling Jefferson ‘I told you so’. Trumps rise, would be according to Adams, exactly why we do not want too much Democracy. Look at who the commoner has placed as nominee, he would say. The people are drunk with democracy. Trump? You’re kidding me! Well, Jefferson would respond, you and the pundits still don’t get it. Trump has spirit! He’s rallying the people for a revolution! It’s exactly the fertilizer this country needs to stay true to our vision. You folks are going to be usurped if you don’t figure this out. And I’m watching John. Don’t give me any of your imperial presidency dung wrapped in those flowery words your so fond of. And, John, as a friend, don’t let all this get your dander up. He’s no more a huckster than any other politician. He just doesn’t shy away from playing the game so far better than anyone. You guys better figure him out John. You don’t want to get so irritated Dr Rush gets his lancets out and does a bit of bloodletting!
