Saguaro vandalism in Tucson

Saguaros biding their time

Try as I might, these destructive activities just make no sense to me. Why?

I grew up in Tucson, 1975 – 2007. It was a place I fell in Love with, Love st first sight as it were! I became who I am, there. A huge part of that was hiking and camping, living out of the back of my old International Harvester in the foothills. Waking to doves cooing.

There are two Saguaro National Monuments in Tucson. One in the east in the
Rincon mountains. The other in the west, over the other side of the Tucson Mountains.

Though this is terrible, you can look out over the bajada and see the Saguaros on the march in the desert. We may see this as permanent, but their march through the desert attest to their patience. They have Time. All we can do it seems is fight time.

It’s a place I’ll always miss and crawl into when the world gets a bit out of kilter.

Planned Parenthood decision

Texas has thrown out the suit against Planned Parenthood for what had appeared as “truth” in a heavily, and miseading video put out by an anti-abortion group. In add ition, 2 anti-abortion activists have been indicted.

Leaving aside personal beliefs about abortion, should we not at least be abe to trust the information we are using to make an informed decision is accurate and truthful, unencumbered by activist groups lies and BS.

If you have to lie, cheat, steal to try and make your point, perhaps it’s time to take a look at your point(s). Maybe it has no backbone?!

The Republican Fear of Facts on Guns – NYTimes.com

I feel so safe when I hear of our representatives blocking laws and finding that would reveal the truth about guns and violence. How long will our ostrich nature overrule common sense?

Trump: I Would Intentionally Kill Families To Defeat ISIS | ThinkProgress

On the past yokels, fringe lunatics had a following. They brought issues to the fore but they faded as folks realized the stupidity of them. Trump is so far beating the odds. I’m not saying other candidates are speaking and that anything would change. The electorate right now seems enamored of the idea we need to fall back to the 1950s when US was everything.
Because many think Trump is successful, despite his bankruptcies (a social benefit he drives from his wealth)
they think running the govt as a business will fix it all. My answer is to lengthy for here but I saw one poll I think explains in part Trumps success. People want their govt to protect them from terrorism. (Unless continental). To me, it’s only a dream. But people by a fair margin think owning guns will protect them if the govt won’t or can’t. We all are currently carrying a certain amount o of fear and angst these days. Only in the minds empty of ideas is gun ownership going to save the nation. When was the last time some one pulled out their Glock and saved a classroom? As I wrote this I get more perturbed at the idiotic, simple minded, uni dimensional solutions we get from politicians. Ill be posting a few items to try and bring some reality to this. At least from my POV.

seems as though freedoms are taken for granted until they’re gone. and usually taken for specious reasons.

I wonder what’s so important about this law yet reasonable gun control laws bring out the vitriol from such oleaginous groups it looks like guns are more important than children.
